Lake Aluma, northeast Oklahoma City, south off NE 63rd St., east of N Bryant...26-acre lake with some 40 acreage lots that back to the water. Some off water homes as well. Most homes built in the 1950s and 60s. Prices start at about $300 and go up quickly.
Lake Arcadia, Arcadia, east of I-35, south off Rt. 66 (2nd St.) Lake Arcadia is not a residential lake. It is a Corps.of Engineers flood control/recreational area. Boating is allowed.
Beacon Hill, northwest Oklahoma City, west off Rockwell just north of NW 102nd St. Beacon Hill is actually the east side of Eagle Lake. Homes built in the late 1980s and early 1990s on nice sized lots.
Bear Creek Estates, between Edmond and Guthrie, at the southeast corner of Forrest Hills Rd and Post Rd, (from I-35 take either Waterloo Rd or Sewared Rd, east to Douglas, then either north or south to Forrest Hills Rd.)...New addition of acreage lots, 16 of which back to water. Lot prices range from $37,000 to $47,500.
Blue Heron Lake, Harrah, east of Luther Rd. off northeast 63rd St... Acreage lots with newer construction.
Blue Lakes, far northwest Oklahoma City, take NW Expressway past HY 4 (Piedmont), then south on Frisco Rd. 2 miles to addition to the west...Most homes on 5 acre lots around 2 small, blue lakes. A few off water houses.
Blue Stem Lake, northwest Oklahoma City, at the northwest corner of W Hefner Rd. and N MacArthur Blvd... The addition contains 370 homes, only 56 of which actually back to water. Price ranges for the lake homes vary from approximately $250,000 to $600,000. Learn more at www.bluestemlake.com.

Bridgewater, The Lakes At, Edmond, new development at Santa Fe just south of Danforth... 8 acres of lakes with park, fountains and waterfalls. 18 lake lots, a few still available. Home prices from $300,000.
Brookhaven/The Pines, northwest Oklahoma City, north of Twin Lakes Gun Club off N MacArthur and south of the NW Expressway.
Canyon Lakes, northwest Oklahoma City, east off Council, south of Memorial...New OKC lake subdivision featuring a 12 acre lake, club house and pool. Phase I lot offering in October 2005 featured 63 lots, 18 of which overlook the lake. Lot prices ranged from $49,500 to $79,000. Lake Hiwassee, Arcadia, east of I-35 7 miles, south 1 mile on Hiwassee...Gated 176-acre lake community. Largest residential lake community in the metro area. Skiing is allowed, but no personal water craft (jet skis).Hidden Valley, Choctaw, north of SE 15th between Hiwassee and Henny...Gated community of 13 homes around 1 acre pond. Homes built in late 1990s and early 2000s.

While you may not be able to fish or boat on these bodies of water, they still add a nice ambience to your home and support bird and animal life you might not get on a regular addition lot.
